Student of the “classical” High school, Edwige approached science thanks to an encounter with a university professor of Physics, a subject that allowed her to understand nature by literally looking "inside things". She decides to use this ability first to explore and then to narrate the Universe. Studying the galaxies, she became passionate about the oldest: the so-called "black holes", able to capture everything around them - including light.
Her professional commitment goes far beyond knowledge and soon turns into a real divulgation mission. For her, in fact, science must be collective, fluid and pervasive. She is part of the team of "archaeologists of the stars" that has attracted the attention of NASA with a study on the primordial Universe. With the same all-female team, she wrote a children's book that tells all the modern astrophysics. She also took part and won the National Award GiovedìScienza that has among its founders also Piero Angela. Just with the famous divulgator, Edwige collaborates as author and presenter of Superquark +, as well as being an author for Rai Cultura.
With Edwige, we will delve into the complex but fascinating world of science, into the patrimony of knowledge and methods that have a key role in the formation of thought because they allow us to overcome fear, to make informed choices and to make the new generations the makers of their own future.
