Virginia Stagni - Head of Business Development at the Financial Times - has cultivated a passion for ink and printed paper from a young age by reading newspapers and magazines at her parents' press agency. After high school, she chose to undertake her university studies in Economics, Media and Communications, developing skills and knowledge fundamental to exploring cultural change within the media ecosystem, and thus becoming the youngest manager of the Financial Times in over 130 years of history of the newspaper.
Starting with the question, "how can we save quality journalism in the digital age?", Virginia is innovating the media industry by building a sustainable and data informed business model. Media must be interpreted as tools for change and expression, so the industry of which they are a part must find a new balance characterized by two fundamental concepts: quality content and reader empowerment.
With her, at illimitHER, we will talk about how within the information 5.0 the publishing industry and journalism must adapt to digital and innovation by embracing change, how today inclusive and affordable forms of communications are essential and about the new FT x Made in Italy challenge in which young Italian talents can test themselves with major strategic projects to improve and boost the economy of our country.
