Enrico Fagioli Marzocchi

Deputy CEO

Biography

Following a degree from Bocconi University, Enrico has accumulated 40 years of professional experience with Arthur Andersen, Interbanca, Aletti and KPMG, specialising in corporate finance. He also worked with Salomon Smith Barney in London and was CEO of Efibanca and Meliorbanca.

Significant was his role in managing the Non Performing Exposures (NPE) portfolio of Monte dei Paschi di Siena as well as in arranging the greatest securitization of Non Performing Loans (NPLs) ever realised in Italy. At illimity, he led the Corporate Banking division, which offers services to Italian SMEs: to performing companies and those with potential, which need tailor-made financial support as part of their development processes, through structured finance and acquisition financing operations, as well as providing support for working capital management through factoring; to non-performing and sub-performing companies, but with potential, through the purchase of existing receivables, new finance for restructuring and relaunching and refinancing operations, as well as providing support for “special situations” and as part of processes that require the redefinition of capital structures. A role in which he puts at service his deep knowledge of the national business fabric and financial expertise to support and relaunch key made-in-Italy companies. Since 2022, he has been President of illimity SGR and Key Man of the iSC (Private Debt) Fund managed by the SGR.
In February 2025, Enrico is nominated Deputy CEO of illimity with responsibility for all business areas of the Bank and the Group.
Enrico is married to Carla and they have three children: Giacomo, Benedetta and Camilla.
